LEARNING PORTFOLIO:

Every child in our centre has a learning portfolio. Teachers regularly write about what each child is learning (these are called learning stories) and these go into the child's portfolio. Examples or photos of children’s work also go into their portfolio. Parents and family members are welcome to add comments to the learning stories. They can also add their own learning stories to their child's portfolio.

20 HOURS FREE:

We offer 4 hours free afternoon session every day (20hours in a week) for all age groups (0-6 years). Check our SESSIONS page for more details.

MEALS & SNACKS:

Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea and Late Afternoon Tea (Nominal fee applies).

TRANSPORT SERVICES:

Transport within 1 or 1 and half kilometres (Nominal fee applies).

NAPPIES PROVIDED:

We offer nappies for children (Nominal fee applies).

Our Principles

Our programme is based upon NZ curriculum "Te Whariki" and the four broad principles of this curriculum are:

  • HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT
    We are committed to valuing each child's individuality with their developing programmes. This holistic development encourages parents and teachers to look at the child's whole development, which includes emotional, physical, relational, intellectual, creative and spiritual development. This perspective encourages adults, to organize children's growth without any limit of gender, age, ethnicity, ability or background.
  • FAMILY AND COMMUNITY
    We are committed to involve the wider community in our programmes and activities. We are aware of the importance of our whanau in our decision making.
  • RELATIONSHIPS
    We are committed to build positive relationships with others. Children learn through responsive and reciprocal relationships with people, places, and things. An understanding of appropriate behavior and boundaries.
  • EMPOWERMENT
    We are committed to empower our children's self-help, self-care skills and independence skills, so they can learn and grow through real experiences and experiments. This exploration supports them to take risks, develop problem solving skills and nurturing strengths and talents.

    7:30 AM – 1:30 PM
    8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

    Nominal fee includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, nappies, and reliable pick-up/drop-off transport.

  • Full-Day & Extended Hours

    Full-time and extended-hour childcare is available from:

    7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

    Available at a nominal fee with meals, snacks, transport, and nappies included.

  • 20 Hours Free Childcare - Afternoon Sessions

    Choose from our flexible afternoon schedules:

    1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
    1:30 PM – 5:30 PM
    2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
